私の初めての試み、ストーリーを書いてみる、をやってみました。学校の授業や私生活で日本語で日記を書くことはあっても、英語でなかなか自身のお話をする機会は少なかったような気がします。
なので、今回は、今月10月31日土曜日がハロウィンということもありまして、ちょっとだけ不気味なspookyな記事・・・いいえ全くそうではなく至って普通のことを綴って書いています。(笑)
作り話ですが、イベント行事が近いということもあり、是非楽しんでご覧ください。

ハロウィンに関する豆知識
仮面少女のお話をする前に・・・ハロウィンに関する豆知識です。
現代では、特にアメリカ合衆国で民間行事となっているハロウィン。ですが、もともとは古代ケルト人の秋の収穫祭や、亡くなった故人を偲ぶ宗教的な意味合いのある行事であり、キリスト教のカトリックの祝日とされていたようです。10月31日が、11月1日の「諸聖人の日」All Hallows Dayの前夜祭であり、略してHalloween（Hallow’een)と呼ばれるようになったそうです。

This is a story about a woman behind the mask.
Who is a girl in a mask?
It is ”Maskedgirl仮面少女”.
(I need to tell you something important before starting the story…)
This is not a spooky story related to Scary Japanese Monster like "Kuchisake-onna" or "Slit-mouthed woman", which is a malevolent figure in Japanese urban legends and myth, asking a haunting question; “Watashi Kirei?” or “Am I beautiful?”.
She lives in a quiet and tranquil residential area and a lot of friends in her real life. She just started her blog and posting on Twitter recently. However, she has never been able to show anyone on Twitter her face. Her eyes are partially covered with a pink mask which is fancy but somehow featureless except for two eye holes. Also, she has two rules. One, never show anyone her face on Twitter. Two, have to keep writing on Twitter and her blog. What if she breaks either of these rules…? She will be excluded from Twitter. Also, What will happen if she gives up writing? She must reveal her figure.
Do you think she will be able to continue to keep up with Twitter and her blog for years or even decades?

これは仮面を纏った女性のお話です。
仮面少女って誰？
それは「Maskedgirl仮面少女」のこと。
（この話をする前に伝えておきたいことがあります。）
これは、日本の都市伝説や作り話に出てくる「口裂け女」のような邪悪なお化けに関係する不気味なお話ではありません。記憶にとどまる彼女の言葉「私、綺麗？」は忘れられませんが・・・。
彼女は、閑静な住宅街に住み、現実世界では沢山の友達がいます。彼女は、最近ブログを初め、Twitterも投稿するようになりました。しかし、彼女は決してTwitter上で彼女の顔を見せることはありません。彼女の目は、派手だけどもなぜだか両目の穴の部分を除いたら何の特徴のないピンクの仮面で覆われています。さらに、彼女には二つの決まり事があります。一つ目は、決してTwitterで顔を見せないこと。二つ目は、Twitterとブログを続けること。もし、彼女が二つのうちどちらかのルールを破ったら・・・？彼女はTwitterから除外されてしまいます。また、もし彼女が書くことを止めてしまったら・・・？彼女は正体を明かさなければなりません。
さて、彼女はこの先何年もさらに何十年もTwitterとブログを運営し続けることができるでしょうか？あなたはどう思います？
